Beebe Trained Developmental Tournaments (to start this off-season)
Beebe Trained Developmental Tournaments is a new youth style wrestling concept. Too many young athletes are consumed with pressure caused by outside forces, such as, coaches, parents, or the overall tournament atmosphere. A lot of times this causes young athletes to shut down with fear of losing or disappointing. Attack Style Beginner Tournaments will work to negate that pressure and allow the athletes to stay active and on the attack.
Often times we hear high level coaches preach the concept of "Letting it fly" or "Open up and score points", yet we are teaching our youth to shut down and not open up when we apply negative pressure. Let the youth develop the right way, zero pressure, put on a show, and stay active constantly!
Schedule
First Attack Style Developmental Tournament March 14th
Time: 10am start time and will run till conclusion
Location: Beebe Trained Wrestling Facility
Attack Style Beginner (Developmental) Tournament Rules and Policies
Brackets
Judges
Matches:
Three 1 minute periods. First period to start in the neutral position. Second and third period will start in referees position (top and bottom) with each athlete getting an opportunity. At the conclusion of the first period the judge will flip a coin and if your athletes color comes up they will assume the top position. In the third period it will be the other athletes turn on top. THERE WILL BE NO CHOICE!
Spectators:
Please respect the mission of the tournament and keep your cheering to an absolute minimum. You will be asked to keep it down if the judge thinks it is a distraction to the athletes. This will serve to take the pressure completely off these young athletes. And again ABSOLUTELY NO COACHING FROM THE SIDELINES OR STANDS.
Note: No trophies or medals will be awarded at the end of competition. Instead the most active wrestlers of the tournament will receive a t-shirt. This will promote self accomplishment instead of accomplishments for others!
